چکیده

The optimal milking cluster should milk as gently possible to minimize the mechanical effect on teat tissue at an performance and quality. objective of this study was investigate influence liner shape (round vs. triangular) type ventilation (claw mouthpiece chamber; MPC) vacuum end in MPC. Our hypothesis that affect MPC vacuum. Six Holstein Friesian cows were milked twice daily over 12 d with a bucket milker, using 4 different types combined 3 system settings (35, 42, 50 kPa) incomplete randomized block design. Milk flow MPC, (measured short tube), pulse tube continuously recorded during milking. higher, hence main time shorter, round than triangular liners. lower liners, which caused by higher air leakage between barrel vacuum, well its cyclic fluctuations, increased (immediately before detachment) all types, highest amplitude fluctuation liners ventilation. reduced both milking, also peak flow. Despite observed differences did not performance. However, MPC-ventilated proportion foamed milk, could potentially have negative

Vacuum levels and milk-flow-dependent vacuum drops affect machine milking performance and teat condition in dairy cows.

Different levels of claw vacuum during machine milking may influence milking performance and teat condition. The claw vacuum acts on the teat and is responsible for removal and transport of milk but is also causing potential effects on the teat tissue. In the absence of milk flow, the claw vacuum is similar as the system vacuum. During milk flow, the claw vacuum drops to lower levels depending ...

Interactions of vacuum, b-phase duration, and liner compression on milk flow rates in dairy cows.

Vacuum, b-phase duration, and liner compression are 3 milking machine factors that affect peak milk flow rate; however, extreme values of these factors can also have negative effects on teat tissue health. The main and interactive effects of vacuum, b-phase duration, and liner compression on peak milk flow rate were studied by independently controlling these causal variables over a wide range o...

Effect of liner design, pulsator setting, and vacuum level on bovine teat tissue changes and milking characteristics as measured by ultrasonography

: Friesian-type dairy cows were milked with different machine settings to determine the effect of these settings on teat tissue reaction and on milking characteristics. Three teat-cup liner designs were used with varying upper barrel dimensions (wide-bore WB = 31.6 mm; narrow-bore NB = 21.0 mm; narrow-bore NB1 = 25.0 mm). These liners were tested with alternate and simultaneous pulsation patter...

Liners and Teat End Health

In the dairy industry world wide, several hundred types of liners are used to milk dairy cows. The enormous amount of liner types with different characteristics in size, form, consistency and other design and manufacturing characteristics indicate that no ‘best’ liner has been identified in the last 60 or so years since machine milking has become the common method for milk harvesting. Mechanica...
